Pharmacognosy is the study of medicinal drugs derived from plants or other natural sources. Studies on drugs produced with herbal sources. The study involves right from cultivation of medicinal plants, their diagnostic characters (like Macroscopy and Microscopy), Isolation, Purification & Analysis of Herbal, Identification, Preparation of Semi-synthetic derivative, Formulation, Evaluation.
