Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is an integral part of a Pharmacy education program, as it covers several aspects of new drug discovery and development. The subject of Pharmaceutical Chemistry plays a vital role in grooming a student into a true Pharma Professional. The department has excellent state-of-the-art instrumental facilities and expertise faculty in various domain areas of Pharmaceutical sciences including Analytical research, Bio-analytical and Phytopharmaceutical and Computer aided drug design studies. The Pharmaceutical Chemistry subject deals with practical aspects of Qualitative analysis, Quantitative analysis, Synthesis of various compounds, Assay of formulations. The department is involved in taking lectures in the subjects of Organic chemistry, General chemistry, Pharmaceutical / Medicinal chemistry and Pharmaceutical analysis for the undergraduate students in the four-year B. Pharm course.
